Two Audlem residents dominate the front page of this week's Nantwich Guardian. The newspaper focuses on Audlem 12-year old resident Evie Popovic, the Nantwich Guardian Community Princess and her big day at the Nantwich Fun Day last weekend. There are other pictures of Evie on the inside pages of the newspaper which has a circulation of almost 40,000 copies.

Cllr Mike Hill is featured in the lead story on the fight to prevent the First Responder service being downgraded by the ambulance service. The Guardian's story concentrates on the work of Nantwich & Crewe MP Edward Timpson, Nantwich Town Council leader Bill McGinnis and Audlem councillor Mike Hill to maintain this vital service.

The story concludes with Mike's telling message to the NWAS chief executive John Burnside: "To reduce the one part of our local service that seems to work well, the First Responders, without you hitting your ambulance response targets, is putting lives seriously at risk."
