Susan Cavill is leading our next walk on Saturday 27th April. Meet Audlem Car Park for departure at 9 am.
This is a figure of eight walk totalling approximately 7 miles. The first part of about 4 miles starts in the pretty village of Hanmer SY13 3DE, and, after crossing a couple of fields, meanders its way along country lanes back into Hanmer.
The second mildly undulating route begins with more lanes before crossing farmland to return to the village alongside the lake.
There are about 5 stiles and several kissing gates. It was wet underfoot in places during our recce. There was no livestock out but if the weather improves this might change.
Another recce will be carried out nearer the walk.
Park adjacent to Hanmer Lake in the village.
NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walks
Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
