Barry Pearson is leading this walk over Caer Caradoc. Meet Audlem Car Park for departure at 7.30 am

The starting point for the walk is on the B4371 just over half a mile east of Church Stretton (Ref: 469933). The walk goes over Hope Bowdler Hill then across to the north end of The Lawley from which the ascent is made. Once back down to Comley the path over Little Caradoc which leads onto Caer Caradoc (459 m) is followed before descending back to the start point. The total ascent is 870 metres and the terrain comprises steep hill climbs and descents, easy ridges and good farm tracks. The total distance is about 11 miles and completion time would be about 6 -7 hours.

The departure time from Audlem Car Park is 7:30 am with arrival time at the start point being about 08:30.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
