Kate Down is leading the next Audlem Ramblers (ARS) walk this Saturday around Chirk – meet at Audlem Car Park to leave at 8.30 am.
We will start the walk at Chirk castle, all will be on good tracks or minor roads. The walk will be about 9 miles circular, taking in Pontfadog, with about 1800 feet of ascent and descent. Dog owners need to be prepared for sheep! If the weather is good, we should have some good views. 3 boot rating.
Meet at Audlem carpark to depart at 8.30 am – the journey should take about 50 mins- Chirk Castle carpark is free, but a reminder that Audlem carpark is now fee paying if you intend to leave a car there – £3 for the day.
NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.
Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
