At the last committee meeting the Public Hall Committee were of the opinion that the Hall should become a non-smoking venue for all events.
With the restoration of the floor now complete, and with posh, new, upholstered, chairs soon to be in place, the Committee take the view that now is the time to make the Hall officially non-smoking and to ensure that the rule is enforced by all hirers and users. It also can only help to reduce the insurance premiums.
However, since the Committee is itself made up entirely of non-smokers, it was felt that some sort of public consultation would be desirable. So please make your views about this proposal (or anything else relating to the Public Hall for that matter) known to a Committee member or by e-mail to the Public Hall address.
