Audlem Parish council meeting 19th March 2026.

Unfortunately the clerk was absent due to illness, wishing Sarah a speedy recovery.

The meeting was quite well attended by Audlem parishioners.

In the public participation section, concerns were raised about the planning application for the development of land adjacent to Moorsfield avenue and that the only proposed access will be via Tollgate Drive.

APC intend to hold another open meeting where residents can air their views and opinions so the APC can produce a robust response.

It is proposed to organise another traffic survey to monitor traffic travelling through the village. The works on Baddington Bridge is adversely affecting the traffic and road surfaces due to the number of HGVs driving through.
A member of the public said that the houses on Green Lane were being badly affected by vibrations caused by HGVs using that road and it was a regular occurrence that these vehicles had to back up or drive on the pavement to continue their journey. This activity is clearly dangerous.

The clerk had submitted a report.

  • A bin has been applied for from CE for Bagley Lane, it should be in situ soon.
