Today is the third anniversary of the launch of Audlem Online. As we've done on the last couple of 'birthdays', the webteam would like to thank everyone that has contributed over the past three years and particularly to thank our many readers for their interest.

So far, we've managed to publish at least one news story every day – a total of 2,582 stories over the 1,096 days. In addition there's been over a thousand entries on the Calendar of Events, numerous articles and 24 Vote Polls on a wide range of local issues. Many residents, and some from further afield, have contributed to the Forum discussions and left messages on the Guestbook.

Audlem Online has been involved in some major campaigns – for example, to improve the local ambulance service and to de-prime the A525 and cut the number of HGVs driving through the village. One of our spoof April 1st campaigns, to join Wales, even made headlines around the world plus five TV appearances so far.

The readership of Audlem Online continues to rise – 2007's number of 'unique visitors' was 54,161. This year, if current trends continue, it will be around 70,000, an increase of almost 30%. In practice, this means an average of just under 200 people a day come on to the website. In our first year, we were delighted by the couple of days when over a hundred clicked on.

Thank you again for your support and we hope to inform and entertain you over the coming year during which we have plans to introduce some new features.
