We are told that BBC1's The One Show will feature Audlem tonight. The programme starts at 7.00pm. A BBC production team, with presenter Giles Brandreth, spent most of yesterday in Audlem. Many people were interviewed and hopefully, as the sun was shining for some of the day, the village should look a picture.

It appears that almost everyone saw the Welsh Vote Poll in the light-hearted way it was always intended. Remarkably, Welsh speaking singers came forward and gave a marvelous rendition of the Welsh anthem outside St James'. On top of the church tower, a Welsh Dragon flag fluttered, albeit below the English flag!

Businesses like the Salad Bowl and Coffee Lounge – which featured Welsh specialties for the day – and Williams's newsagents with a Welsh display in the window, could well feature while the Lord Combermere looked after the BBC team at lunchtime.

BBC Radio 4 were also recording for a You and Yours programme, which we understand will be broadcast next Wednesday at 12noon. Clearly, both TV and Radio programmes can be subject to change, but this evening and next week, it could well be worth tuning in.
