Audlem – the new Lourdes?

Contrary to what has been published earlier in the week regarding Audlem Brook, there has in fact been mounting evidence of the healing properties of these waters.

Over past few weeks there has been increasing numbers of walking aids and spectacles found abandoned around the village (see picture for an example this week). Even some hearing aids!

Will Audlem become the new Lourdes ? It would certainly give local businesses a much needed boost.

Perhaps we could also offer these potential "health" tourists the opportunity to kiss the village bear-baiting stone by the Butter Market ?

Thus killing two birds with one (bear) stone.
