Audlem Medical Practice Update

First and foremost we hope that you are remaining safe and well. We would also like to pass on our thanks to the people around the village and beyond who have stepped up to help others at this incredibly difficult time for us all – a community spirit to be proud of!

We would like to reassure you that we remain open and here for you whatever your medical need. We have taken numerous steps to minimise the need for attendance at the practice, but if you need a blood test or to be seen by a doctor, nurse, physio, midwife or any other health professional we have changed the way we operate to minimise the risks of attending the practice whilst allowing us to continue to care for almost 5000 people in and around Audlem.

As we take the first steps out of lockdown with schools and workplaces starting to open up we know many of you have worries or concerns about this. As a first measure we would recommend you review the information on www.gov.uk/coronavirus , where you will find detailed guidance for teachers, parents, workers and employers on safe practice. Please discuss your concerns with your employer or child's school in the first instance as they should be able to undertake a risk assessment of your individual circumstances to ensure you/your child remains as safe as possible.

We are all going to have to get used to things being very different for the foreseeable future due to COVID19, and these first steps out of complete lockdown are to try to ensure the personal, social, health and financial costs of the lockdown are no worse than they need to be.

Opening up our society again is something most of us need, but it will inevitably mean some risks – if we all keep washing our hands, maintain social distancing and limit our journeys these will be kept to a minimum. Finally a reminder that if you or anyone in your household has symptoms (new cough, temperature, loss of smell/taste) – STAY AT HOME!
