Audlem Medical Practice rates well

Our thanks to Alan Duncan for bringing this survey to our attention. He says:

"I noted from the recently published NHS results that our GP surgery in Audlem is rated "among the best" in UK and in a search of the local area it stands at the top of the list."

A more detailed assessment of the Practice has also been published by the Care Quality Commission which has been checking virtually all the GP practices across the country to see if practices pose enhanced risks to patients.

It looked at 38 indicators to see if there were any risks associated with the practice. The indicators all came under the broad headings of 'Effective, Responsive, Caring'.

Local users of the practice, and there is a total of 4,546 patients, will be pleased to note that Audlem Practice had no instances of enhanced risk with lower risk scores than would be expected on all 38 indicators.

Doctor Peter Leftwick, on behalf of the practice says: "We all work very hard to try and offer our patients the best possible service despite the challenges of reduced funding and ever increasing regulation and paperwork.

"We are very pleased to see that our efforts have been viewed positively by both the CQC and NHS Choices, but of course our most important indicator is the level of care we offer to our patients."
