Audlem Medical Practice Quarterly Update

Flu Clinics

We look forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming flu clinics on the 4th and 11th of October. If you are eligible for a free flu vaccination (Aged 65 or over or in an at-risk group) and haven’t yet booked your appointment yet please call the practice to book in.

Staff Changes

Dr Graham Duce has joined the Practice as a new salaried GP on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Dr Adam Bellass, Specialist Trainee, is here until the Autumn of 2026, and Dr Ankit Yadav, Specialist Trainee, until January 2026.

We also have our student doctors from Keele Medical School who are here for between 4-10 weeks at a time.

Many of you will know that one of our practice nurses, Sister Fran Harrison, retired in June and wish her the very best for the future. We are delighted to welcome Sister Michelle Reid as a new member of our nurse team.

NHS App

Audlem Medical Practice Patient Participation Group (PPG) met in July when we had a presentation from guest speaker, our Primary Care Network Manager Hugh Brook. The focus of the meeting was to learn about new aspects of the NHS App, as the App will play an increasingly pivotal role in individual patient health management and as a means of for us to communicate with our patients.

The NHS App allows you to review your medical records, check blood results and hospital letters and much more – please see here for further information.

Repeat Prescriptions Orders

The accepted national standard wait time for a repeat prescription to be processed by a GP practice is 4 working days, but here at the Audlem Medical Practice we usually process these requests within one working day and almost always within 2 working days. However, you will also need to allow your chemist time to order and prepare your repeat prescription, so please discuss this with your local pharmacist.
