Audlem Lass & Wheelyboat today

A reminder that, as it's a Bank Holiday, Audlem Lass will be running today between Overwater Marian and Lock 15. So, if you fancy a nice trip on the canal as a break from the Festival and the Carnival, it's just £1 each way, 50p for children.

And as a special taster, the Wheelyboat is also operating today out of the marina. As Rodney Cottrell wrote last week: "Normal schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday booked via the the Marina on 01270 812677 9.00am to 5.00pm daily service.

"This Weekend we have an Open Schedule Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th, Monday 30th from 10.30am to 4.00pm.

"We will offer trips every 20 minutes around Overwater and a short trip down the canal. We would be pleased to see you with a family pushchair or a wheelchair.

"We do not expect a donation though a small donation would help our costs. We would simply like to offer a wheelyboat experience to anyone who would like to see what we offer to the disabled on a regular basis."
