Audlem Lass swings back into action this weekend after its Winter break with sailings on Saturdays and Sundays (plus Bank Holiday Mondays and Good Friday).

The sailing times for April see the first service from Overwater Marina at 10.30am and the last service of the day from Lock 15 at 4.15pm.

We are told that there are several new skippers bringing the total force of fully trained ALBS (Audlem Lass Boat Service) crews up to 18, all hand picked for their humour and patience with the public.

Each year, around 4,000 people, plus numerous dogs, take a ride on Audlem Lass, an ideal way to travel between the marina and the bottom of the Audlem Locks. All proceeds, after operating costs, go to the RNLI.

Businesses in Audlem and district have already boosted ALBS' funds by their generosity through advertising, getting this year's potential donations off to a strong start.
