Audlem Lass prepares

It was a pre-launch day on Saturday to allow us to test/trial new equipment that has been fitted and iron out any problems that may have occurred before the official launch day for this year's season.

Rodney Cottrell, Roy Plume, Mike Harthern and myself set off with the Audlem Lass from Kinsey Heath yesterday at 10.00 hours “nautical term”.

She had quite a perilous journey first past the Post Office and then the Co op but, with Rodney at the “helm” – the steering wheel of his 4x4 – all went with out a hitch.

And soon it was plain sailing down Coole Lane and in to the Marina.

The “Audlem Lass” was soon back to what she is good at, motoring around the Marina and down to lock 15.
