Audlem Lass funding success

The Audlem Lass boat service between Lock 15 and the Overwater Marina starts again on Good Friday, 6th April.

The boat, which accommodates up to 12 passengers, will operate every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday until the end of October.

The Audlem Lass Boat Service has already attracted £750 of funding provided by businesses in Audlem.

A4 advertisements were offered for the first time this year, which are displayed on-board. No less than thirty advertisements have been snapped up by local shops and businesses at £25 each – a grand total of £750.

Rod Cottrell of Audlem Lass says: "This money will pay for insurance and most of this year's running costs.

"It means that, barring unexpected costs, the money received in donations from passengers will all be going to the RNLI."

Plans are also in place for the free display of A3 posters to support local charities and events. More on this shortly.
