The Audlem Voices Choir were in fine form on Saturday evening at a joint concert with the Crewe Male Voice Choir, in memory of Bernard Ashmore who had been an enthusiastic and long-serving member of both choirs. The two choirs and a large and appreciative audience braved a very cold evening both inside and outside St Peters Church in Crewe.

Audlem Voices, the creation of Jenny Collis-Smith who conducts both choirs, has only been going since February this year, and this was their second concert.

The two choirs sang a selection of their favourite songs, with the Harmonites trio providing some more light-hearted interludes. Each half of the recital ended with the two choirs combining in spirited fashion, the first half with Rhythm of Life and the second half with the Crewe Male Voice signature song, Morte Criste.

New members are always welcome to join Audlem Voices – please contact Jenny Collis-Smith on 01270-811469 if you are interested.
