Audlem girl shortlisted for "Rising Star in Technology Award"

As residents at Chapel End for 28 years we felt that we would like to share this information and ask for your support.

Our daughter, Emma-Ashley Liles has been shortlisted with nine other women in this year's 'We Are The City HQ,' Rising Star Award for Technology.

Emma-Ashley works as a Software Developer in London called 7digital.

In her spare time she is writing a book called, "A Teenager's Guide to Software Development"; she spends some of her free time as Industry liaison for #casinclude , which is a group of technology professionals and teachers who work to improve inclusivity in computing for children in schools, regardless of gender, race, SEN, disabilities or socio-economic background; she also is an Ambassador for Stemettes showing that girls do STEM (Science, Technology, English, and Maths) too, helping run events up and down the country.

She has asked for your support in the public vote. To vote simply follow the link where you can read the profiles of all ten women who have been shortlisted, clickhere

Just to be nominated is great, but wouldn't it be wonderful if she could win, (for Audlem). Hopefully this may encourage young girls to get into STEM careers.
