A reader has passed us a link to the "Britain From Above" website which includes a fascinating set of seven air photos of Audlem between 1930 and 1932.

You can see our downloaded versions on the archive site here- select "views" and "from the air" to see these and many other fascinating views.

These photos show a much smaller, much more compact village – no new estates, no playing field and very few cars – no car park necessary!

The downloaded versions of these pictures on the archive site reveal quite a lot of detail, but you can enlarge them much more by registering with the "Britain from Above" website here and then accessing the pictures direct.
