The newly formed Football Club of Audlem met last week for the inaugural meeting.

The following officers were voted into office.

Chairman: Ralph Warburton
Secretary: Rolana Wright
Treasurer: Ralph Warburton
Manager: Geoff Stretch
Director: Dan Morris
Coach: tba (see below in final paragraph)

We are delighted to report that we have been registered with the FA and are to begin the season playing in the Cheshire Borders League. First fixture is early September but fixture lists not yet out.

We have Dan Morris to thank as the main driving force in the inception of this new soccer team and sincerely hope that he will be given all the support of the players and officials throughout the coming season.

In all we have 24 players on the books with training taking place on Tuesdays.

The new strip – both home and away – are being purchased and the team name and logo being created for printing.

All our kits are sponsored by our main sponsor, The Lord Combermere, through Allan and Jo Brown. Plus Andy McClintoch providing the match and training balls.

Julian Adair of Fox Finishing has also pledged his support and special thanks to UNA Health of Buerton who were first in the line to give funds. All these plus AP Services mean that we begin the future with a strong base.

Jill Sanders of the Audlem Parish Council is very much on side with us and vital in the links to Cheshire East Council in pitch preparation etc.

Finally we welcome all who wish to aid us in establishing a strong team here in Audlem.

We do appeal for anyone who can help us in coaching. Contact me on 07813 820157 or Dan 07850365195
