St James' Church is a wonderful venue tonight, along with Audlem's three pubs, for this evening's Festival programme.

This is what's on offer on the second evening of the Audlem Festival – Friday 1st June:

7:00pm – Classical Plus South Cheshire Youth Sinfonia at St James Church

A classical flavour from the South Cheshire Youth Sinfonia and guests.

8:00pm – Alex Hulme at the Lord Combermere

Inspired by the likes of Nick Drake & Foy Vance. With realtime multilayered looping of guitars and vocals (which have to be seen to be believed), Alex creates immediate pop songs with catchy melodies and rich folk guitar

9:00pm – The Folkwits at the Bridge Inn

The Folkwits have been delighting audiences with their own brand of Nu-Folk music. The Audlem based duo are influenced by Eva Cassidy, Richard Thompson, Fairport Convention & Laura Marling...a must see this year

9:30pm – Whiskyhead at the Shroppie Fly

Formed in 2009, WhiskeyHead is one of the most popular lively & hardworking bands with a passion for live performance

9:30pm – Rook & the Ravens at the Lord Combermere

Alternative rock that bristles with dark intent amidst a technicolor landscape populated by tough guitar pop, shiny harmonies & several stories of keyboards built on an unwavering rhythm foundation.

On Saturday and Sunday there's a packed programme and then the Festival runs right through Bank Holidays Monday and Tuesday.

And on Monday, it's also the Audlem Carnival with the parade and then a packed Playing Field with events such as Audlem's Answer to Crufts and, of course, the Funfair.
