The Audlem Festival gets underway tonight at the village's three pubs and it's as varied a night as you could wish for:
Poetry Slam at the Bridge Inn
Hosted by Emma Purshouse, the first ever in Audlem! Performance poets go head-to-head in a live poetry competition. Expect fast moving verse & witty rhymes as they fight it out to be crowned Audlem Slam Champion. Starts at 8:00pm.
Jazz Dawgs at the Lord Combermere
Adrian Ingram's Jazz Dawgs formed in early 2008, are one of the few bands in England that can play West Coast Swing. Starts at 9:30pm
Heidi & The Brownies at the Shroppie Fly
The talented Heidi Browne backed by The Brownies. Starts at 9.30pm.
A great start is promised to what should be an amazing Festival with over 80 events over six days.
