Wednesday 10th May

Guess who was so wrong , as the league have now given us two games to play.
Both versus George and Dragon . Top team of the league 's top division from Winsford!!
We have to play on the Wednesday night of the 10th and also to play them at their own pitch as Audlem was closed to us. Broken goalpost etc.

My meanderings as I dream of days and travel all now gone from me.
Jet travel in the world.
Private jets are a very visible sign of the wealth of a person or a company. And this country, the UK , had the most such flights in all of Europe. Every six minutes one took off . A total of 90,256 flights in 2022. These persons/ companies did not suffer too much in the year just gone. I flew in one such whilst in business . Handy as we chose the time to fly, and immigration was easy. But very small aircraft in my day, a propeller driven plane.
The 747 was far better comfort wise .

The Game

Squad is quite strong as 12 players declare themselves for the contest .
Referee is a one of the best, Keith Curzon.

Skipper Kev away on holiday as I guess others too may be away .. Ross Henderson, our flying winger, takes the baton as manager.
Well. With the downpour of heavy rain, not the best day to be churning up a pitch, opponents travel from Winsford .

Kick off 1830
And from then on the wheels come off our wagon
18:390-1
18:420-2
18:520-3
19:040-4
19:050-5
19:150-6
19:220-7
19:281-7. As Ben Walker scores !
19:311-8
19:391-9
19:451-10

Game over. Fell victim to one of strongest of all teams in our league. I am given to understand 3 or 4 of their players are professionals, playing on the Saturdays .
Our man of the match is Connor Baxter. Assist for Ben's goal is Adam Caunt.

We have to play them again as the last much delayed match -- next week !!!
