As I muse on life , I put this before you.
Have you ever read the list of ingredients in a food stuff you may eat?
This point struck me when I had a very small bag of Jacob's Mini Cheddars – Red Leicester flavour. Cost circa 20p from a multi pack .
In that tiny biscuit , the size of a two pound coin.
Wheat flour, calcium, iron,Nic in, palm oil, sunflower oil , dried powdered cheese, cheddar and Red Leicester flavouring , milk, natural raising agent, salt, dried buttermilk, sugar, citric acid, emulsifier, gum Arabic, glucose syrup, dried whey, barley, malt extract, raising agent, lactic acid, natural flavourings !!!!!
May contain egg and soya !,

My team. Made up of flesh and blood and bone – and a desire to win .
But

To the day .

A calm morning as I wake before the sun gets up. Light rain falling. Emails done regarding the memorial trees at the cemetery.
Then the pleasure of seeing match of the day and the fine result by my other love, Liverpool F C . As they win 3-0 with good share of goals. Had a tricky time in the first half as Crystal Palace came very close to scoring, but all ok and LFC sit on top of the premier league again.
So , all loaded up with the gear and I am to the pitch side by 0930.
Good turnout of players . No rain now . Sunshine still here. Car lark light at present .
So many dogs exercising it is more like Crufts out there on the pitch .

Rachel, our super secretary arrives, planing our big race night at the Willaston Club on the 29th of October – getting horses sold ahead of the night.

Will be a welcome event to help our funds . We face high costs of close to £500 to pay Cheshire East council first use of the pitch and some £500 to use the changing rooms of the marvellous annexe here at Audlem

Add to the that the cost of footballs at about £20 a time .

Now.
Referee Jem Cornes arrives . We pay him his fee .
Opponents, White Horse of Nantwich here.
Players in to their strip and out doing warm ups under the expert eye of John Dyer . Our super Physio, Emma at work on the massage table .
Slight delay as opponents await arrival of their shirts.
Kick off at
1104. David Farrall , member of the executive , arrives .
Off we go in normal style as all get geared to fast play. New balls yet again .
1106
1st corner goes to us. No gain. Play very fast . We have 4 subs on the bench. Rules are that we can have 5 and use roll on roll off of subs . Gives all a game .
1115
As we pile on the attack, Nick Gregory scores from a fine ball from Will Cork
1-0
1120
We concede a penalty , As we floor a player.
1-1
1122
Will Cork again on fire as his ball is met by Andrew(Beco) Betteley who slots it home
2-1
Owner of the blankets so kindly given last Jame to keep injured player warm as we wait for the ambulance – here and we give him a bunch of roses fur their kindness.
Young Johnny and Billy fellows here to watch the game. Both play in the Audlem Saints Saturday coaching which I head up – and they are prospects for our senior team one day in the future
Clouds in the sky- mare's tails is the formation and a sure sign of am advancing front . In a former life I was a meteorologist in the Fleet Air Arm .
1128
Ball from Kev Rodgers, met by William Cork who feeds to Paul Bowker. Who puts it uaway.
3-1
1132. White Horse play their first sub. Followed by an injury to their number 7 with play suspended fir a short while.
1134
A drinks break
Back in play. Set of keys found on the pitch which I must advertise on the web site .
Half time
We are playing so well. Really so good to watch .
Will Cirk off as he tires a little . Callum Mese on . Slight delay as WH player ties his boot laces.
1203
James Craig , so vital in the play, takes the throw with his signature long throw . But no gain.
Team so very good that Manager Kev Mort is Harry to exclaim " it is like watching Brazil"
1206
Callum Mese. His shot straight into their net . From a super assist by Dan Rooney
4-1
1210
Free kick to us. Kev Rodgers to Dan Rooney. No gain
1212
Superb ball by Kev Rodgers- across their gosl, but no one there to put it away.
Great ball by Callum Mese goes just wide.
1215
Rare attack by White Horse is well contained . We race up field . Superb ball by Tom Smart – he has been on fire all of the game – goes just wide.
We really are on top !
Subs as Stefan Kotowski comes on fir James Craig who has asked to come off as his legs tighten up . Ben Walker on for Dan Rooney. Will Cork back as Paul Bowker off .
Players tiring from this super fast pace.
An aside – I was so wrong about the car park . It is rammed full !!
Rain clouds building as the clock ticks away.
Will Cork feeds a sweet ball through which is met by Ben Walker who scores
5-1
Ball from Callum Mese is met by an ever running Tom Smart , who shoots and scores.
6-1
1230.
Attack by Will Cork – just wide of the goal. He is playing so well!
1232
Free kick to WH just outside our area . No gain as their ball sails over the bar.
White Horse attack up field and one if their best sits is dave and saved well by Connor Baxter . Our team is tiring after all their fine effort so far.
a long cleanse by Connor is met by Andrew "Beco" Betteley who lobs the ball high and into their net
7-1
Another attack mounted. Callum Mese feeds Will Cirk. Who twists and turns – and scores
8-1
But like a shooting gallery .
Our defence has been so together all the play .
Tom Smart comes off as manager Kev Mort comes on fir the last few minutes .
Ben Walker scores again but adjudged off side .
WH up field for a rare att k and as our players tire, they score,
8-2
Inch Gregory off as Dan Rooney back .
1245
Full time whistle . Game over .
A fine win.
Man of the match. Goes to Will Cork with three assists and a goal – in truth we could have had three "man of the match" awards with the superb play of Dan Rooney and James Craig.

Next game away versus Cooper Buckley who stand atop the division with a high scoring record .
