Audlem FC at Sandbach

The game on Sunday was away versus Sandbach Town F C. A strong team.

For myself I was 200 miles south visiting family, so I was absent. (Contrary to rumours, I was not scouting for new players in London, seeing that the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal have such a glut of players on their books!)

Anyway, the team that turned out for our game numbered just the 12. And this was only reached by signing on yet another player to the squad. Now we have 35 named players in all! Truly daft. So the team picked itself.

And I am told we played very well. Holding them to just the one goal scored in the second half. A moral victory in truth for those 11 plyers who turned out. Well done to Audlem F C.

Next game is at home versus Crewe F C. Yet another strong team to play – and the pitch is slowly recovering.
