Audlem dog wows TV show judges

The Nantwich Guardian reports that an Audlem dog called Gin so impressed judges on the ITV1 show Britain's Got Talent that Gin is now through to the semi-finals. This will mean again meeting the show's judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and ex-Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan.

Piers Morgan, now a star of TV reality shows in the UK and USA – he recently won the USA's The Celebrity Apprentice – has already been clearly impressed by Gin and owner, Audlem's Kate Nicholas, who is aged 16. He thinks they could go all the way and win the second series of the show. He said: "I think we have to accept that the winner of Britain's Got Talent this year might not be human."

Gin, a border collie, does have some 'human' attributes, however, being able to dance, walk upright backwards and keeping time to the James Bond theme music, although whether all at the same time is not clear from the report. The semi-final will be in May when all, we are sure, will be rooting for Gin and Kate.
