When Audlem CycleSport closed its door yesterday evening at 5.00pm, it signalled the start of a major refurbishment at the popular cycling shop in the very centre of Audlem.

Nikki Ball says: "We have been trading for five and a half years and it's now time to expand and refit.

"We closed yesterday and will re-open on 28th April with a store that has twice the floor area, a new workshop area, a wider range of bikes and a fantastic fresh new look.

"We value your custom and appreciate that being closed for an extended period is not ideal but we truly believe you will see the wait was worth it.

"We will keep you updated as the work progresses. See you soon and thanks for your patience and understanding."

The shop is now undergoing an expansion by taking over the old flower shop, its next door neighbour – the Flower Divas having moved along the road to their new Shropshire Street premises.

When Audlem CycleSport reopens, there will be a larger bike repair and servicing area as the whole shop expands and is re-modelled.

As all its users will be aware, the shop is run by cyclists for cyclists and stocks excellent brands such as Giant, Scott, Raleigh and Dawes.

On top of that, the shop sells:

  • Clothing – base layers, gloves, tops, shorts, socks, shoes, high viz etc.
  • Lights – a wide range to help you see and be seen.
  • Tyres – Large selection of road and mountain bike tyres.
  • Mudguards – many types to suit all types of bike – helps you and your bike stay cleaner!
  • and when you do get covered, bike cleaners to make your pride and joy sparkle.

Audlem CycleSport will reopen for business on 28th April but, in the meantime, you can find out more at:
