Audlem Charity Shop's AGM was held at the Bridge Inn yesterday, Wednesday, 25th March. Vicky and Gary kindly provided refreshments.

Another successful year enabled £29,000 to be donated to our beneficiaries:

  • Mr Mark Porter accepted £16,000 for St. Luke's Hospice
  • Mr Ralph Warburton accepted £4,000 for the Donna Louise Children's Hospice
  • £4,000 was presented to Mr Geoffrey Parsons for the Wingate Centre
  • £4,000 was presented to Mr Roger Millns for ADCA.
  • Mrs Debbie Icke received £1,000 for Audlem First Responders.

Mr Roger Millns gave a very interesting talk on the activities and aims of ADCA (Audlem and District Community Action).

Mrs Ann Bowles, chairman, announced the retirement of Dr Michael Thornton, our President since 1983, and paid tribute to his many years of valuable help and support.

The photos show Andrew Patterson, of Audlem Charity Shop presenting cheques to Mark Porter of St Luke's, Jeff Parsons of the Wingate Centre and Debbie Roscoe Icke of Audlem First Responders.
