Audlem Charity Shop Annual General Meeting

On Wednesday 6th May, The Audlem Charity Shop Annual General Meeting, was held with the very kind welcome by Dave and Colin of the Bridge Inn.

Chair of the Charity Shop, Helen Beardshall, opened the meeting with praise for all volunteers for their hard work, generosity and time so freely and willingly given. She also mentioned that without all the wonderful donations given by the community that the shop would not have been so successful.

The financial report was given on behalf of Carol Harker, Treasurer, by Eddie Rowley, Trustee.

He spoke that due to the exceptional year the shop has had, a total of 62,000 will be donated to our well deserved chosen Charities

This grants were distributed as follows:

• £5,000 to ADCA (Audlem & District Community Action).
• £4,000 to Wingate Children's Special Trust
• £4,000 to The Overwater WheelyBoat / Bus
• £1,500 to Wybunbury Anglers Association
• £2,000 to Community 1st Responders
• £3,000 to Cheshire Buddies.
• £42,500 to St Lukes Hospice.

All these charities benefit so many in our local community.

Thanks were again expressed to all volunteers and also for the generosity of all who donate their items so that The Charity Shop can carry on going from strength to strength.

Helen thanked everyone for coming and the meeting closed at 3pm
