Audlem CC in the Rutland

Audlem CC are competing this weekend (Sunday) in the Rutland – Melton International CiCLE Classic – an international one day race over a mixture of road and off road conditions and attracting a seriously high class field of UK and European teams.

The Rutland – Melton International, described as "The Paris – Roubaix of the north" sees an Audlem team of Mike Harrison, Richard Wilkinson, Todd Hotchkiss and Alex Jones entered – see top photo.

The 2014 edition of the CiCLE Classic looks to be even bigger and better than ever before, cementing the race's position as the premier one day international race on the British calendar available to British competitors.

What makes it so attractive is its unique character and course; a blend of wide roads around Rutland Water to narrow and treacherous farm tracks more reminiscent of those to be found in the Spring 'classic races' in northern France and Belgium.

The international teams include cyclists from Austria, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Slovakia, New Zealand, Khazakstan and France so the Audlem team will be up against top competition.
