As you would expect, a member of the Audlem Webteam was sent immediately to the Sydney Cricket Ground as soon as it was announced that it was free entry for the final day as England clinched the Ashes and the series 3 – 1.

This report cannot be too triumphalist as our correspondent has to get out of that country alive and is, in the meantime, staying in a (half) Australian household!

Congratulations to our correspondent on getting in for a free day, as our expenses budget is zero. He has sent a movie clip but we've been having trouble loading it on to Audlem Online, one of the problems of last-minute international journalism!

Mind you, he wasn't the only Audlem resident there. Many thanks for the photos from the Audlem Cricket Club group who attended the Melbourne and Sydney tests.

The picture of Toby Banfield (top) is with the "Official" leader of the Barmy Army at the Army HQ in Sydney! The Cricket Club group are currently on their way home and judging by facebook comments will be rather "Hung Over" as well as jet lagged when they get back tomorrow!
