Probus AGM 2014 and Lunch

President Roland Hall opened the meeting on Thursday by requesting a minute's silence in memory of Norman Mitchell who passed away recently. Norman was a founding member of the Club and President in 2002/3. Thoughts and condolences were extended to his family. The funeral is on the 4th April at 11am at Audlem Methodist Church.

Grateful thanks were extended to Roland Hall the outgoing President, by Derek Rooke, for a very successful year.

Speaker Secretary Mike Smith was thanked for a successful period in office since 2010 and leaves the ongoing schedule in good shape.The new Speaker Secretary Alan Joslyn was welcomed to the committee.

Michael Smith was elected the new President for 2014/5

Michael spent his career as a Chartered Civil Engineer working mainly in the submarine pipeline construction industry. He is married with children and grandchildren, and joined Audlem and District Probus Club in 2003.

A very enjoyable lunch was provided by Brookfield Golf Club for members and guests following the AGM. Thanks were extended to Brookfield Staff and Social Secretaries John Evans and Roy Plume.
