Audlem 5A's are all set to take to the stage for the 22nd year.

To mark the 22nd year of 5A's pantomimes, they will be performing The Little'ish' Mermaid written by the company's very own Cat Maddocks, a 5A's veteran.

Cat has not only taken on the role of Director but is also starring as this year's Leading Lady (The Little Mermaid) supported by her very own Prince Charming, Lynn Brookes, who has been a 5A's member for many years.

The company prides itself on its 'like coming home' feel and everyone involved is a part of the family. Everyone unites as one to ensure that the pantomime is an all round success. From sewing to singing and dancing to directing, everyone is willing to help out in whatever way they can.

As the title suggests the company has been running now for 22 successful years and was originally set up in 1995 in Audlem where it is still a prominent part of the village. Audlem 5A's stands for Audlem All Ages Acting and Performing Arts Company and proof of this is that our company age range is from 4 to well over 65.

The company is currently in their final stages of rehearsals – ensuring that their audiences really do have a night to remember. The company have been rehearsing and getting everything together since September in order to make sure that they put a smile on people's faces.

The script is ultra modern with an array of songs, dances and humour for all; over the head humour for the adults and slap-stick comedy for the little ones.

Like previous years, 5A's have been lucky enough to have Monique Hollinshead (Professional Theatrical Costumier) on board, creating show stopping costumes for some of their cast. This year the company have set Monique the challenge of creating under-the-sea creature costumes. For maximum affect all costumes will be kept as a surprise for our audiences until our opening night.

Curtains open on Wednesday 27th January at 7:30pm and shows run until Saturday 30th January. This includes four consecutive evening performances and a Matinee performance at 2pm on Saturday 30th January. Tickets are £6 each and can be purchased from Margaret Scott 01270 811 743.

They hope to see you there.
