Introduction to Aston and District WI

Aston and District Women's Institute is a thriving and energetic organisation, committed to the ethics of the Women's Institute, yet moving with the times to attract a wide range of ages and interests. We are a member of the Cheshire Federation of Women's Institutes and a sister club to Audlem WI. Several members attend both Audlem WI and Aston and District

We have a very fun-loving and caring attitude where long lasting friendships develop and thrive.

We carefully choose our speakers, outings and classes to please all our members – most of the time!

We are always very happy to welcome visitors and potential new members and they can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome.

Our meetings are held at 7:15pm at St Andrews Methodist Chapel, Aston on the first Friday of every month, except for August when we have a garden/social meeting. At most meetings we have either a speaker or demonstration and then we have a lovely cup of tea and piece of delicious home made cake. This gives us the ample opportunity of having a chat with our friends and catch up on the gossip! The meetings usually end at about 10pm.

Details of our upcoming meetings / speakers are:

  • June 3rd Distinctive Floristry Designs
  • July 1st The Skills of Embroidery
  • August 5th Produce Show and Supper
  • September 2nd A talk on Antiques plus Valuations
  • October 7th The Work of the Dogs Trust
  • November 4th A Chinese Merry Christmas
  • December 2nd The Christmas Party

Why not come along to one of these meetings and see how much fun we have. Have a look at the range of activities that you can join in. For further information contact our secretary, Joan, on 01270 780812, or e-mail aston.and.district.wi@gmail.com. and visit our website by clicking HERE
