ASET Summer Events

ASET (Audlem Special Events Team) has two big events coming up this summer – it's worth noting the dates now and, indeed, buying tickets for June's big event – now on sale. Andrew Smith of ASET reports:

Midsummer Music on the ParkOur latest musical extravaganza will be on Saturday 27th June – MIDSUMMER MUSIC ON THE PARK. Join us and stars from London's West End as they perform Songs from Stage and Screen. With music for all tastes this year's picnic in the park is shaping up to be the best ever ASET event.

High Society will get the party started with contemporary Motown hits. Stars from Beauty and The Beast, Phantom of the Opera, The Wizard of Oz and more will entertain us with favourites from the shows. The evening will close with a spectacular fireworks display

Festival of TransportOur second major event of the summer will be on Sunday 26th July – FESTIVALOF TRANSPORT 2009. We already have well over 200 entries and have managed to arrange an aerial display by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire – another coup for our vibrant village! There is no entry charge but donations will be gratefully received to help cover our costs of over £3000.
