Anyone taking their dog for a walk yesterday, or simply going for a stroll along Audlem Vale, or the Meadows as it's known to many, would have been in for a surprise.
No, it wasn't the Teddy Bears' Picnic, but Christine Johnson's Art Group out painting in the local countryside.
Watercolours was the order of the day although some veered off into pastels and coloured pencils.
The group starting in October last year and has attracted many local artists. Those that attended the Art Exhibition at the Audlem Festival will have, it is hoped, been astounded by the quality of the work produced by the group.
Fortunately, yesterday's weather was perfect for outdoor painting. The photo shows just a few at work – there were many other painters in the Vale.
