A huge increase in the numbers of interested visitors came to the Art and Craft Exhibition in the Methodist Chapel this weekend.

On show, was a variety of styles and techniques from local artists, including watercolours, 3D extended paintings, acrylic paintings, textiles, fashion, enamels, prints, portraits, an intricately decorated skateboard, photographs, costume, transformed vinyl records and Crafty Chat.

The two local art groups: The Watercolour Group and the newly formed Audlem Art Group displayed a variety of work, showing their increasing skills and knowledge.

There was work from the two local schools, Audlem St James' and Brine Leas, which were much admired by the pupils.

The Photographic Competition was won by June Thorley with her 'Here come the girls'. Although the entry was relatively small, the standard was high and there will be another competition next year that will be advertised much earlier in the year.

Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed the exhibition and for all the positive comments.
