Wednesday 14th May

The first of the Wednesday Audlem Ramblers walks commences on the 14th May, led by Peter Jackson. Meeting time at 09.30 in the Town Hall Car Park.

We will then make our way down the canal towards Hankelow Mill, and from there will go across The Parkes and onto Monks Lane. The path then takes us down Mill Lane into Salford and across Woore Road onto Bath Lane. We will then go through The Vale and onto the Tow Path, leading us back to The Shroppie Fly.

This is a 5 mile walk and has 4 stiles which are in a reasonable condition. It might be a bit muddy over The Vale, but if this is the case, we will avoid it.

There will be a short break on the walk, so please bring refreshments with you.

This will be a chance to meet up with friends old and new, so hope to see you there.

NB. All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
