Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) had planned to do a three day walk on the Sandstone Ridge but had to abandon it due to the coronavirus pandemic as reported here,
However a number of ARS members have risen to the challenge of walking 34 miles in a week, either individually or in small groups following the recent relaxation in lockdown, allowing up to six people from different households to meet providing they maintain social distancing.
They have now completed the challenge and are making donations to the Wingate Centre at Wrenbury which
is a specialist residential & recreation centre for children & young people with disabilities. It has a gymnasium & fully-accessible accommodation giving visitors the chance to take part in sport & recreational activities & holiday in a safe, fun environment.
Like all charities, fundraising is proving particularly difficult under lockdown, so they'd be delighted if you would support their efforts by donating here
