Saturday's ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) circular walk is 6/7 miles long and is in the Norbury Junction/ Gnosall area.

Tony Crowther, who carried out the recce, describes the walk as covering mixed farmland, canal towpaths, country lanes, village pavements and wetland tracks.

There are good views over Staffordshire and Shropshire towards the Wrekin with a fine elevated section of the Shropshire Union canal. When Tony did his recce a part was very wet but we can avoid this if necessary.

An 8.30 am start on Saturday 8th December from Audlem car park. Unfortunately, Tony cannot now lead the walk and it will be led by myself.

The walk is followed by the ARS Christmas dinner in the evening at the Lord Combermere.
