ARS walk on Saturday

Peter and Brenda Kay are organising next Saturday's ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walk and they describe the route as follows:
"Old Oswestry Racecourse stands astride the Offa's Dyke path high on a ridge to the west of the town. To the East there are extensive views across Shropshire. To the West one looks down onto the rich landscape of the Welsh border country with its maze of hills and tight valleys.

"The walk starts near the site of the old racecourse stadium, descends to Llawnt, then up over Craig y Rhiw, past Trefonen and returns to the start point partly using the Offa's Dyke path. 9.5 miles, 1350ft of climbing – grade 3. Meet at Audlem Car Park at 8.45am on Saturday 14th March."
