This Saturday's ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walk is between Llangollen and Corwen. The walk is over land opened up in 2005 under right of access legislation. The full walk is 15 miles but there are plenty of opt outs and it's doubtful whether many will undertake the full route.

One option will be for cars to be left at strategic points or there is a bus route along the A5. While terrain is mountainous, a shorter option is about 7 miles in length, ends at a pub, and is on the main bus route back to the start. The pub has real beer and open fires. The walk involves one main climb and descent, with good views in clear weather across the Berwyns and also to Snowdonia. It is said to be fairly easy walking.

Other options, including (i) bus return trip; and (ii) an easier return walk of about 6 miles; or (iii) continuing further along the North Berwyn Way, dropping down to the main bus route at at least two other places. A lower level walk is also available if the weather is very bad. For those totally confused, all will be sorted out on the day!

Meet at Audlem car park at 8.00 am on Saturday.
