This month's ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walk is organised by Kate and John Down and below is their description:

The walk we are planning is approximately eight miles and includes overall about 2500 ft of climbing.

It starts in Llangollen and takes in Castell Dinas Bran, Valle Crucis Abbey and Velvet Hill and should be on well marked paths as the part of long distance footpaths – Offa's Dyke path and Clwydian Way.

Estimated at a 3 booter – we have a contingency plan should the weather seem too inclement, which would be to walk from Trevor along the Panorama walk to Llangollen and then back along the canal which would be a similar length of walk.

8.30am meet at Audlem car park on Saturday 8th February.
