Saturday 13th September

Peter Kay is leading our next Long ARS walk at Alderley Edge on Saturday 13th September. Meet at Audlem Car Park for departure at 8.30 am

Starting point

The walk starts at the Alderley Edge National Trust car park off the B5087 post code SK10 4UB. Please bring National Trust cards. The best route is to go through Nether Alderley, at the roundabout after the crossroads with the A537 and then turn right at the next little crossroads by the bus shelter up Artists Lane, signposted Over Alderley. Then briefly right on the B road and into the car park.

The Walk

The walk leaves the Edge and goes to Mottram St Andrew, up Hare Hill, down to Bradford Lane and back up to the Edge. It is 9 miles and 1000ft climbing.

{NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.}
