The November Long ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walk this coming Saturday is being organised by Peter Kay and is in the Wyre Forest.
Peter's walks are always interesting and at this time of year we might still have some great autumnal colours. Below is his description:
The November walk is a 10-mile walk through the low hills of the Wyre Forest south of Bridgenorth. Except for one or two short sections it is on good paths. Hopefully we may still get some autumn colour.
It starts from the Eymoor Wood car park (at SO 778 792) south west of Shatterford where we turn off the A442 Bridgenorth to Kidderminster road.
It then follows the North Worcester Way past Drakelow, returning via Wolverley Lock on the Staffs & Worcs Canal, Franche and the Habberley Valley.
Last time I took a group we were able to eat our sandwiches outside a busy little pub at Wolverley. I would grade it as an easy 3 booter. Start time is 8.30am on Saturday from the Public Hall car park.
