Tomorrow's ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) expedition is to Cadair Bronwen and Berwyn setting out on foot from Llandrillo.

Earlier, it's a meet on Audlem car park at 8.30am. The appropriate map for the hike is OS Explorer 255 – Llangollen & Berwyn.

The walk starts at Llandrillo car park, approximately 47 miles or 1.5hrs from Audlem. For a breakfast butty & brew or bison sausages/burgers and other Welsh farm produce, it's suggested that walkers leave earlier and go past the turning off the A5 to Llandrillo a couple of miles through lights to the organic farm.

The hike is 4-boot circular walk of approximately 14km taking approximately 5 hours – estimated group ARS pace – walking across open land, some unavoidable boggy sections so good boots needed and gaiters could be helpful.

The A route takes in two small peaks with some height lost in-between. The B walk just does first peak while there are C & D route options missing steeper sections of both. For those wanting even more, there are plenty of A* route extensions possible.

There are great views in clear weather and a chance to experience a shining example of well kept public conveniences. So good that people have written letters about them!

There are some steep ascents and descents. Llandrillo carpark has public toilets and the village has as restaurant. Pubs are nearby.

Sheep and lambs are certain along most of walk route and there's a high probability of ducks on the stream next to play area and car park so dogs will require constant close control and will probably be very wet and muddy by the end of the walk.
