Andy Davidson of ARS, the Audlem Ramblers Society, writes: "This month we are offering the choice of an A and B walk on Saturday 14th February.
"The A walk is being organised by Chris Knibbs and is approximately 15 miles with over 5000ft of climbing. It commences at the Brittania Inn on the Horseshoe pass and climbs 4 peaks around Llantysilio Mountain before crossing the River Dee near Carrog and climbing into the Berwyns, over Moel Fferna, Vivod and Y Foel before returning to LLangollen. There is an escape route by Carrog where if neccesary a bus can be caught back to Llangollen.

"The more sedate B route is a circular walk of approximately 8 to 10 miles out of LLangollen via Valle Crucis Abbey, World's End and Castell Dinas Bran. It's a mixture of footpaths and back lanes with various options depending on conditions underfoot.

"Both walks should meet at Audlem car park at 8.00 am when we can decide on the split of cars. The B walk should get everyone back in plenty of time to have a rest before the Valentine's Ball – No doubt the A walk will be considerably later!"

Non-members of ARS interested in going on one of the walks, or joining ARS, should contact Andy Davidson by email at andydavidsonatb@hotmail.com">andydavidsonatb@hotmail.com who can give information on equipment needed etc.
