An intrepid group of thirteen braved the cold, ice and snow on Saturday to take part in an enjoyable and rewarding 10-mile ramble around the heights of Lyme Park.
The walk was led by Audlem Ramblers Society secretary Andy Davidson who reluctantly heeded his own risk assessment and the advice of fellow walkers by not carrying out a threatened imitation of Mr Darcy in the park lake.
