Audlem Running Group (ARG)

On Saturday 9th November ARG had an 'away' run in the Bickerton hills. This was the same week researchers announced that regular running is the single most effective activity at lowering the risk of premature death and running as little as once a week can extend an individual's lifespan by 27%. With an average age of 85, ARG runners support the findings.

Audlem runners also experienced the first snow of the season as they descended the sandstone trail, bouncing through piles of fallen leaves, unaware of the tree roots and rocks beneath which added that extra element of challenge.

Century girl & Audlem runner Sarah commented on today's run, "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the aim of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, hot chocolate in one hand, martini or electrolyte replacer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'way hey' what a ride!"

Today Audlem running group became more of ARGHHH! than ARG.

If you want the chance to increase your life expectancy with a group of people who prove that laughter is the best medicine, ARG meets every Saturday at 8.30am in the car park next to the GP surgery. We look forward to welcoming you.
