AoL recently published the story about Nora Bate representing the land army today at the Annual National Service Memorial and reunion – click here.
Beryl Bradford was also a land girl in Derbyshire then, and she would like to congratulate Nora on her achievement.
Dorothy Brown lent us her overalls for display at an exhibition a few years back – she worked on a Buerton farm. I believe she now lives in Woore but attends the Tuesday club run by ADCA.
Are there any more land girls hiding out there? – please let us know because we would love to record your memories for posterity.
